Getting from Ireland to Sardinia without a connection

I am v.lucky in that I have a friend who lives in Sardinia. I've been invited to go and stay, just need to figure out how to get there. Does anybody know what airlines if any go direct from Ireland? I can fly from pretty much anywhere, though Dublin or Belfast International would be preferable as I live half way between.
I am not too keen on having to connect in London, Rome or wherever as it would take too long and I'll only be going for four or five nights max.
Thanks in advance.

I dont think there is any airline that goes from ireland to Saqrdinia direct so you might be flogging a dead horse.0

I think maybe your best bet is Ryanair Dublin via Stansted to Alghero in the NW of the Island. Its a very big island though, where does your friend live?0

Monkeyspanner, thanks for that, I'll have a look at Ryanair's website. I suspected a direct flight would have been over ambitious. I've tried my v.best to persuade my friend to come here but she is pleading poverty ATM. She lives somewhere near Alghero.0

Looks like the Ryanair thing isn't that good as Alghero flight gets back after the last Stansted-Dublin evening flight leaves so you need to overnight on your way back.0

have a trawl through the charter flight websites. I'm pretty sure there are holiday charters to Sardinia ex Dub in the summer. You'll find plenty of seat only sales ex LGW or MAN in the summer too..you might get one which will connect to the last RYR flight to DUB.Timmay!0

Flight no. EIR312 Dublin-Alghero 0715-1115 starts in the summer months and isn't cheap.
