could anyone tell me please what kind of creditchecks yorkshire bank does to open new "current plus account"?. Do they get in touch with your mortgage provider?

No bank will get in touch with your mortgage provider. They will search your files using one of the 3 main credit reference agencies and see what credit you currently have and whether you are upto date with payments, whether you have any defaults or CCJs, whether you are registered on the electoral roll etc.

Yorkshire bank will check your Experian credit file.
As Beanie says above they won't contact your Mortagage provider.0
