My college is saying I have to be there on the As level results day.
Is this normal, or is there anyway around it, becuase im upposed to be on holiday, and dont really want to come home early.

Write a letter to the school saying you have had to go and see family and you can't any other time. So like:
"As I am unavailable on X to collect my AS results I give permission for John Smith to collect my results on my behalf. If there are any problems for this please contact me on 07123 456 789, however I will not be in the country therefore the call cost will be more. Thanks, ljaybrad"
Obviously give it to the school signed before hand, and give a copy to John Smith.0 -
Find out why they need you to be there. I've never heard of anyone having to be there, though they may say that they won't give you your results until you go back to school in the September.0

None of my children have had to attend in person. They are usually given the option a week or two before to pay a small charge to the college in order to have the results posted out.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Id find out why its important for you to be there on results day, would i be right in saying the holiday was planned before you were told when results day would be, just do a letter like Lokolo said, i cant see that its neccessary for you to be at the school,0

If you provide the college with a SAE, they should be able to post your results to you.0

we where on holiday, when my daughters AS results came out, she notified the school and they posted the results to our house,
she almost fainted when she opened them as she had done better than she thought..... it was quite funny see her in this state......
when her A2 results where due, we made sure we were at home and she went into the college to collect them
anyway, good luck to the OP in their examssmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....
