OU student/student discounts

I'm being lazy, sorry, I'll search the OU site in a minute, but does anyone know whether as an OU student you're entitled to any student discounts for anything? I mean maybe like a discount in book stores, that sort of thing - not particularly bothered about a rail card, but is there any OU students on here who have managed to get discount cards for anything?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Yes, you can apply for an NUS Extra card here http://www.nus.org.uk/en/NUS-Extra/
And you will get all the details on the site. It costs £10.
You can't get a student railcard unless you are under 26 (I know you don't wnat one, but in case anyone else reading this does)
Hope that helps.0 -

And don't forget - may be it's too late for this year, but not for next - you can use your Tesco deals vouchers to pay for OU courses!:j0

Also lots of places that aren't on the site advertise student discounts, and will usually take an NUS card as proof. And if they don't advertise one, there's never any harm in asking!0

thanks, I looked at the OUSA website last night so I'll send away for an NUS card this week. I'm sure I remember Dorothy Perkins in Dundee having a sign in their window saying students got 10% discount upon production of the card, that was the reason for my question!0
