self employment and ssp

my cousin who is self employed,and has recently gone through an operation,all his stamp is paid up too date,is he entitiled to ssp or not,and if he is,how does he go about claiming it.

phone the benefits agency and they will send out the relevant forms.

No he can't get SSP if he's self employed.
He'll have to apply for Employment Support Allowance instead.0
