As I posted before I am not moaning about the unpaid staff, I know from personal experience what the job entails. It doesn't take very long to reply to a query either from AB or some other board guide, mod, admin etc. rather than a "form" answer
Sorry dave, I didn't mean you specifically, it was a general comment.
If you have experience with it you'll also know that any answer AB gives herself will be challenged and she'll be roped into a (probably heated) long winded discussion. Then if she offends anyone there'll be a whole hoohaa about board guides behaving improperly (I've seen it on these forums before). They're really dammed if they do and dammed if they don't.The stupid things you do, you regret... if you have any sense, and if you don't regret them, maybe you're stupid. - Katharine Hepburn0 -
I am absolutely passionate about the MSE site.It has so much interesting, helpful and wonderful information that I lose hours of my life flitting about it EVERYDAY.( I realise how sad this may make me appear, but it's true)
I was reluctant to add any comment in this particular thread for fear of further annoying ANY MSE staff and in particular our 'LOCAL' MSE expert. I am sure the decision to move threads is not made 'willy nilly' and as stated previously QUOTE- anyone who looks at the NI site can easily follow the link to where the threads have been moved too. It's not as if you all have to walk to them ........
BRILLIANT !! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I'm posting now just to say that I've been following and contributing to a link which has been moved to the Discussion group( Presbyterian Mutual Society)and although,as previously stated I QUOTE ''can still post on them exactly the same way' as I ''do on the NI forum''
...the actual thread can no longer be viewed unless people are registered members.
Now,all registered members will know that this only takes a moment or two to do, and will not result in any spam emails etc, but I know that the thread I'm referring to was providing a great source of information and reassurance for a large number of worried people who are currently potentially about to lose a large chunk of their savings, and have NO OTHER WAY of getting information.
The original thread was started in November, and until yesterday (I believe) was accessable to anyone interested in following the story, without needing to be a member.Until they figure out that it's safe and necessary to 'sign up',people will be feeling anxious about what to do and how to find out what's going on.
Thank you all MSE staff for all the work and effort you put in to making this site the greatest site in the world ( in my humble opinion)0 -
