Hi all,
Every time i change the batteries in my sky remote, I am unable to get the remote to work with the tv again. It works fine with the Sky box, but I always have to ring Sky to type in a code to get it working with the TV again.
After being kept on hold by Sky for an hour over the weekend I am hoping some clever people on here can talk me through what I am supposed to do.
FYI, the TV is a Panasonic Model No. TX-28XDP3
Any info would be much appreciated
Many thanks
Munky

Why don't you try the Sky Interactive Customer Service.
Select Interactive on your remote, select customer support, select technical support and select "Why doesn't my Sky remote control my TV.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
If you can't do that then I'm not sure exactly what your code is, but it will be one of these: 278 or 136 or 065 or 678
1. Point the Sky remote away from your TV and digibox.
2. Press the TV button once.
3. Press and hold down the Select and Red buttons together on the Sky remote until the Red LED light above the Sky button flashes twice.
4. Input your 3 digit set up code then press Select.
5. Press the Sky button to exit.
6. The Sky remote should now be able to operate your TV.0 -
Well....did that work for you?0

I find that if I leave mine for a couple of days after changing batteries then try again it works fine:A If I could think of a decent signature I would use one :A

Hi, if you don't change your batteries quickly the sky remote will "forget" the code for your TV which was programmed by the engineer when it was installed. Codes for later Sky remotes for Panasonic TV's are:
578 254 278 154 242 368 191 302 128 544 241 065 395 379 389 103 576
you 'll have to try each one until you find the one that works. You'll have to enter the numbers into the remote, it's probably a 3 digit code:
1. Turn on the TV receiver
2. Press TV on the Sky Remote Control
3. Hold down SELECT and the RED buttons together for approximately two seconds, until the RED LED on the Sky remote blinks twice.
4. Enter three digit code from list for the receiver (early versions now flash twice).
5. Press select to enter code structure (the LED will flash twice if a valid code has been entered).
6. Now press the STDBY button and test other functions.
Repeat if necessary until a code is found that works most common functions
If that doesn't work take a look here for more information:
