Fun Weekend Away Yorkshire 24 Feb Anyone?

Just in case any of you have missed the previous thread, I've rebooked a converted barn for the 24th Feb in the Yorkshire Dales and now I just need to find some more fun souls to come along and have a good laugh! (10 definites so far!) No, I'm not a crank! I'm a fun single female, mid 30's and I have many friends, sadly most are settled down and seem to be losing their 'spark'! Hence my mission to find the fun souls in life!

Now then, back to the accommodation. It's basic, with a twist! It has a 10 seat sauna, and a pool table. There is an adjoining field with free use of some outdoor games/sports equip if required. Now, bearing in mind it is in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, so great for walking, mountain biking, outdoor 'stuff', but don't come along if you're expecting to be all glamed up for a night on the town,!! It'll be down to us to make it a good time!

The cost should be approx. £60 for the whole weekend depending how many people I can drum up! The idea is to come along equipped with your sleeping bag, towel and some liquor/snacks to share in the evening!

If you are interested in coming along the requirements are the following:-
1. To be easygoing
2. To have a sense of humour and know how to laugh!
3. To be able to drive
4. To be age 30's/40's (or to act it!)

Right, that's it then. Hands up who wants to come along!

Why would anyone want to go to Yorkshire to have fun ?
It's full of miserable curmudgeons with no teeth and rickets - and that's just the bloody women !
Why not leave them to their Asbos and granny-bashing and organise a weekend somewhere moe pleasant ...in fact, anywhere below Birmingham will do but preferably not Wales because they have all the above but without the sense of humour.
Unless it's their rugby team that thinks it's got a chance of winning the Six Nations.
Now ... who else can I offend !

    Do you wear camouflage?
  • Haha - love it!! DO_YOU-KNOW_DAVE you're certainly on the ball today!

I wasn't going to bother replying to Nob's comment - I've spoken to enough of them lately :-)

You better be careful, you're getting razor sharp now, don't cut yourself!!

    I don't know Dave but I'm willing to bet he's a Northerner which-is-why-I-presume-he-writes-his-name-very-very-slowly-like-this !
  • I want to come to the weekend but don't think i'll be able to make it.
I know you'll want an explanation so here it is,

Since the last weekend away, which I must say I had a brilliant time! I have been training for ten hours a day in a rigorous regime of exercise and diet(which can only be described as baby food) that would test even the most dedicated, devoted and committed man, such as Peter Duncan of "Duncan Dares".
I know what your thinking or even saying as you read this "TRAINING FOR WHAT?".
Well, I have been training with my Guru and expert trainer Liz in the discipline of American Wrestling WWF style now known as WWE.
Well I have my first bout that weekend so will be out of the country. I know you will all wish me well!
I still have to decide on a name. As you know in wrestling you don't use your real name for example if I said "Terry Gene Bolla" almost all of you, except the dedicated wrestling fan, would have no idea who he is, but if I gave you his wrestling name
"HULK HOGAN". (I think you know what i'm saying!)
So I have narrowed it down to two and I hoping you will help me decide,
"MAN OF SKIN HEAD" or "THE BLENDER".

This a dream come true for me as not only will I be pitting my skills against the best in the world, I will also hopefully meet Gene Okerland "Mean Gene" a hero of mine. Thats if he has'nt had a set back with his kidney transplant.
    Well wish me luck!
Shirley you've been my inspiration, R.I.P.

Am honoured to be such an inspiration. Be careful of 8 year old boys who occasionally wear camouflage!
There are three ways to get something done; do it yourself, hire someone or forbid your kids to do it.
  • If your watching on the night Nobjocki and I get the chance of my specialist move
"THE BODY SCISSORS" i'll dedicate that to you with a wink to camera with my right eye!

I'm not sure who my opponent is yet, but will keep a special eye on camouflage wearing youths. The thing is it is so hard to see them!

    Hey Nobjocki,
I don't really like correcting people as all of us are'nt perfect, but I write my name like this "DO_YOU_KNOW_DAVE" not like this "do-you-know-dave"

Just remember i'm always here if you need to talk to somone. I can see your anger is buried so deep down that you feel the need to provoke others.
Maybe when I come back from my bout, you could maybe come training with me and channel some of that anger!

I'm here for you man! I mean it!
I see in you what I use to be like before I found WWE!
