I want to buy a Slow cooker

(you can also cook a whole chicken but I've not tried that)
I have tried this and as long as you remove as much of the skin as possible prior to (slow) cooking it the result is fine (if you leave the skin on it all becomes a mess as the skin won't crisp up in a slow cooker - I suppose that you could always bung it in the oven but this surely defeats the object!).
I do however, place the chicken onto something (usually an face-down cereal bowl) as this then helps to keep the bird out of all the juices that come out of it.
Have to say, that I seem to get more meat from slow cooking a chicken this way than when we used to roast it in the oven and the meat just falls off the bone.Sometimes I wonder...
"why is that frisbee getting bigger?"
...and then it hits me

I bought one just before Christmas from asda 1.5 litre capacity which is perfect for one or two people. It was £9.99 and their own make.0
