"Dyed" in commars as I can not tell until I attempt to wash the cushion cover!!
I purchased a pair of dark rinse maternity jeans in the Next sale 3 weeks ago. When they arrived I immediatley washed them inside out as per the instructions and have done another 3 times since after wearing them, again, as per the instructions given the colour of the jeans. I wore them yesterday and they are currently sat in my washing basket.
I noticed morning that the dye from the jeans has rubbed onto the seat cushion of my cream cloth sofa giving it a lovely navy tinge!! I have taken photo's of both the "dyed" cushion and one that is not as well as the sofa overall. I am praying this transfer is not permanant and washing as per the instructions on the sofa (luckily it has removeable covers!!) but worry that if I do it now and they want to send someone to inspect it. Next have said they will rang me back tomorrow as their customer complaints department is closed today. Has anybody any advice they can give me in following up my complaint??
Thanks

My Next jeans also state that the colour may transfer. I have an M&S jacket that states the same too, so I have to be careful not to brush up against walls when wearing it.
Just wash the cushion covers and hopefully it'll come out. At least it's a sensible cream coloured sofa which has detachable cushion covers, so you can actually wash them!!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
As others have said, it is a common thing to happen and this is why there's usually a tag on the denim garment that says colour may transfer and why light coloured sofas come with insutructions to avoid sitting on them in dark clothing to avoid this. Did either your jeans or the sofa have this?
Even if not, I thought it was well-known that dark jeans = stains on light fabric sofas.0 -
Just wondering how you got on, have they rang you yet??

I appriciate and know that colours "may run" but after several washes you expect it to not be an issue, and this is what the the manager I spoke to yesterday said.
Can't imagine everyone takes their jeans off before sitting on sofa's??2013 wins: Persil Bunny0 -
I've got a pair of Next jeans - had them for 2 years and they still have to be washed on their own otherwise everything else goes a nice tinge of blue!
Have not brought jeans from them since.......
Good luck with your situation!0
