Hi crafty carrot
My Dad has severe arthritis in his hands and he has these and has found them to be quite helpful.
The ones that he has found better though are the ones that have a battery in to generate heat.

They are about the 4th item down and are the same price as the Thermoskin.
I'm sure if you searched about, you could find them cheaper. Don't forget to try to reclaim the VAT as they are for a medical need.
Good luck.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break

I don't have arthritis but, as a mountaineer, I have had a fair amount of experience with wearing gloves. In my humble opinion there is nothing special about these gloves. Personally I would just go into an outdoors shop like Milletts or Regatta and try on a few pairs of similar (cheaper) products that are also good insulators and 'cushion' the fingers.
