Halifax bank charges

Hi, im a newbie and hope you can help with my first post.
A few weeks ago i put some money in my account in branch, and i had a standing order payment due to come out the same day. I asked when i was depositing the money whether i should cancel payment or whether this would go through. Bank said it was fine and it would clear. Few days later i get a letter saying that it wasnt fine and £35.00 charge would be applied. Just checked bank online and they taken charge which put me £1.56 over drawn, so they have taken another one, but i not received letter for this? is there anything i can do. I rang them and all they said was i was mis informed and thats all they would do. Cheers!!

Go back to the branch you deposited the money at and speak to the manager there.
