Hi and welcome to the board, don't worry we are all friendly here. Why don't you start by telling us a little about yourself and what sort of advice you need.

Hi everyone  . Have booked my court date for 3rd Feb 2009 to file for my BR. I am not working, but my OH is. Am confused about the court remission fee. OH earns approx 15k and we have tax credits. We have 1 child.
I have recently had tax credit award which shows also. what I have earned this year, which was 3,500. Do they take this amount into consideration even though I am not working now ?
Also I have a car worth approx £750, which I use to take my OH back and to to work (as he does'nt drive). Will it be likely that the car will be taken off me ?
Would also like to take this opportunity to say that I have been reading on this forum for some weeks now. I cannot believe how lovely people are. It is nice to know that you are not the only person going through this experience. If anyone can answer my questions I would be most grateful.0 -

Read the booklet

If it neccesary for work and you can prove it, you may well be ok, some people have kept cars worth £2,500 on here, and others have had cars worth less takn away, try and prove hardship where buses are concerned, and that its ceaper to use a car

Hi Atwhitzend
I don't have any advice because I'm new here myself but I wanted to say Hi and welcome. I've only been here for about 48 hours but I've had many questions answered already and I've been given some sound advice......I'm sure the positive attitude you'll find here will cheer you up no end!! It's really helped me. Two days ago I felt like a bit of a leper and like I was the only one with a debt problem but since being here I feel for the first time that I might actually be able to sort this out.
Good luck with finding your way forward0 -
Thank you RiverRunDry. Still trying to navigate my way around.

I'm new to forums as well and I found the only way I got through it was to keep clicking things until I found my way around.....although I'm sure there's someone who could give you better advice than that.
Oh, and I swore a lot!! :mad:0
