95 mins on hold and still waiting!!!

Arrrgggghhhhhhhhh!!!
Ive been trying to phone sky today (using freephone number from saynoto0870 site of course, thank god) and first attempt late this morning said i ould be waiting about 57 mins so i put the phone down. I tried after dinner and the time had gone up to 69 mins and finally 97 mins ago it said 76 mins. So i should have already been answered by now. Will let you know when (if) i eventually get through. Had engineer out today due to problems, hes put another box in and now its worse than it was before. He checked a couple of channels before leaving which were ok but thats all.

Thanks for the tips. Im bloody fuming now, i was waiting and waiting and after 2 hours exactly it just went dead and i assume i got cut off. Couldnt believe it. I tried the 0870 as im desperate to get through but thats even worse in a way as you dont even get the option of holding it just says about high volume of calls and please call later! Just tried again now on the freephone no. and its now saying 130 mins, it just gets worse!! So now just tried the 0870 agian and thats now saying 'this is a BT announcement, the telephone network is busy at the moment please try again later'. You dont often get that message when you phone somewhere ( i have heard it before but only once or twice). Im going to try later after 10 like suggested. I didnt realise they still had someone there until that sort of time.0

I think yet again the latest software update, which was ironically issued in part to solve a number of bugs caused by the last software update, has caused a whole raft of new ones, especially for those with Panasonic boxes.
Hence the worse than normal wait times on the phones. Have you considered sending an email while you are waiting to see if that illicits a response.
Here's a good one that I have used in the past that has worked well.

Ensure you include as much detail as possible like Account Number, Card Number, dates of past visits, etc.0 -
I have thought of emailing them but i want them to be aware of the issue today and get a response if possible as i want them to know the problem has happened immediately rather than developed. Im concerned that they may try and charge me for a call out or another box.0

Is Sky so important that you will wait hours for them to answer the phone?
I think you need to get out more or just open the window and get some fresh air...

well im still trying and have just this minute phoned again using the payed for 0870 number and its saying 87 minutes wait. I give up and im now going to email. Thanks for your help.0
