Hi there
I was wondering if anyone could advise me on the following possibility:
I attended an charity ball in Scotland and bid sucessfully on a trip.
(I live in England)
The company that offered the trip where there as well and before the final bid I spoke to her to check that there would be no problems.
This was back in October.
But now that I am trying to book the trip I receive no response or answer.
I know the company is still up and running and the trips are still advertised as they keep sending me emails to go on one.
I have emailed the boss of the company and still there has been no answer.
The amount paid was a lot to me and I would like to take the trip but not if it leaves a bad feeling...
any advice?
thanks for reading

Did you get a certificate or anything at the raffle which shows what you had won in the auction?Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

Hi there
I won a charity auction prize while at a ball in Scotland back in October.
The owner of the company was present at the time and said there would be no problems and dates would be available in Feb / Mar.
I live in England and I have been trying to make a booking for a trip but they refuse to reply or take my calls to make a booking. The trips are up and running as they are being advertised.
What options are available to me if the company renegades on the trip that I paid for at an auction?
Any advice?0 -
Does the charity know or just the company that offered the prize? Have you emailed the charity?:beer:0

Sophia, I've merged your two threads because they are so similar, but you've still got your poll!
I think your dispute is with the company which offered the prize in the auction. As a first step, since they are not responding to your calls, I would contact the charity and explain the problems you are having. They may be able to apply pressure, or have a different contact within the company who can sort it out for you.Signature removed for peace of mind0
