ok ive put a claim in for my bank charges from natwest. they kept taking money all the time and when there was no money for the charges they charged me more so as a result i was suffering hardship.to cut a long story short ive heard somewhere that they should not have taken the charges out of my jobseekers allowance and child benefit .
could someone please clarify this as i suffered severe hardship due to this. and am still suffering hardship even though the charges have stopped
thanks

Hi
Unfortunately they can legally take charges from your benefits. If you are suffering from financial hardship then you can reclaim your charges on this basis. Write a letter to them detailing the charges taken, your personal financial situation, details of any debts/arrears etc and they should send you an Income Expenditure form to complete.
