Greenfingers - if you're still doing the spreadsheet, note my amended signature. I'd love to swank around in Westwood, but I've just found my sensible head.

So for now, everytime I hit the £100 mark, onto a debt it goes!

It almost makes paying it back fun...

  • Yesterday I think I broke a world record for getting the most 'change' back in £2 coins!!!!!! Parking meter at City Airport gave me £17 pounds back in £2 coins (plus of course a £1 coin).
My local petrol station - gave me £10 in £2's.
Change from my groceries - £4.56 - Yep £2's again.

Soooooooooo, instead of going and spending all these £2's, I think i am going to join this £2 savers club :)

Wooohhoooo... its going to be a secret stash (if i can keep it a secret) and then going to spend it on ME for my birthday!! :):j

There is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word which means more to me than any other. That word is England.

  • Hi All!

I read about this site in a magazine and signed upto the forum for the first time today!

I started saving £2 coins a couple of weeks ago after a friend said that she did every year with two friends of hers, they take the money out around xmas time and treat themselves to a night in a nice hotel, with the O/Hs!

I bought a money box off ebay but i need a bigger one (the gap is too small and ive been pushing the coins in with a screwdriver, lol!) so ive just ordered a ceramic crisis jar (again off ebay!) i have £14 so far which isnt much but im saving 20ps, 50ps, and £1 in a box my mom gave me that has see through tubes for each kind of coin, theres about £30 in there (started that three weeks ago!) :D

Im being made redundant in october and i have a credit card bill of £2,450 that i really don't want to use all of my redundancy money for! (i did read the section on the site about paying debt off instead of saving, so i will pay it off) :p

I would like to get my bill below £2,000 before im made redundant, i just transferred it over onto a 0% interest free card for 12 months so i am trying!

Anyway, enough waffling from me, just wanted to say hi and im glad i found this club, because its really cool, well done Green Fingers! :T
