Hi
I am going to save £2 coins from here on in. I usually save 20p's downwards but have to admit that sometimes have to break into them when things get desparate! I will try not to do this in future.
I'm going to go and add this straight to my signature.

I probably collected over 15 coins in 3 days, but had to spend most of them (I was in London after all
) - managed to save 6 though, so I'm quite proud of myself
I guess most people living in London just use those Oyster cards nowadays, but it's worth knowing if you ever need the odd ticket - pay with a £20 note and you'll get a whole wallet/purse full of £2 coins!

hi...u r correct!!.. i work for the underground.....those big ticket machines that accepts the notes normally gives out change in £2 coins as it cannot give change in notes! once the £2 coins has run out then it'll start giving change in pound coins until someone floats the machines back up with £2 coins!!

:j Just to say this is my first time. I read the site regularly but have never posted before. I'm collecting my £2 in a Harrods biscuit tin!! I don't know how much I have but I estimate around £40. I want to keep it a mystery. Will let you know when it's full (or sooner if I can't stand the suspense!).MFiT-T2 No.350

I am saving for a deposit for a house, so the OH has been roped in on this too. With 3% being the minimum, I think i'll be in this club for a while.
Woo hoo. Even my signature has been updated. I'm a real techno-babe. :cool:How long til pay day?
