Cash machine didnt give me my money?

Hello All,
I really hope someone can tell me what to do here.....
I was in Amsterdam over new year and tried to take some cash out of a cash machine, I asked for 200 Euros but the machine didnt give out any cash. I thought that the transaction must have been declined due to insufficient funds so tried again for 20 euros. This time the machine gave me the money (20 Euro). When I returned to the UK I checked my account and both transactions were showing on my account.
I have rung HSBC (my bank account) and asked them what I can do, they said that they would look in to it and contact me. I have received a letter this morning to say that the records on the cash machine say that 200 Euros were requested and 200 Euros were given out? Now I know that this did not happen, as do the 7 people that were with me at the time!
I really cannot afford to just lose 200 Euros as we are getting married this year and we are struggling to afford the wedding anyway without this!
Does anybody know if there is anything that I can do to get this money back? Is there anyone I can speak or write too?

I would raise it as a complaint with HSBC. You raised a dispute with them, but they failed to resolve it to your satisfaction. They will have a complaints procedure, which will be detailed on their web site.0

Unable to add anything myself unfortunately, but take a look at a recent, similar thread here with a happy ending...

Thanks for this - will read the happy ending and hope i have the same! I took the email address for the complaints department and while the girl I spoke to on the phone was sympathetic she suggested that nothing would be achieved by complaining....I can only hope.0
