0% Ended...Couple of months payment left...Call Barclaycard!

My 0% balance transfer ended this month on my Egg Card with about 4 months of payments left on it, most annoying.

I called Virgin (existing customer) to see if I could transfer from Egg to them to see what rate I could get and they could only offer 3.5%.

As a last resort I called Barclaycard (also an existing customer) and they have a deal at the moment where you can transfer balances at 0% until July 2009.

Just thought I'd let you all know incase anyone else was in the same situation.

At 0% interest with no fee?

    That somewhat surprises me!

    Fill Yer Boots!!! :D
  • Barclaycard recently gave me 0% for 12 months (2.5% fee).

3.5% wasn't a bad offer though, considering you only required it for a few months.

3.5% a month for four months would probably be cheaper than the transfer fees to any new card.

In fact if there's any charge for doing the transfer it's likely to be cheaper to leave it where it is, no matter what the new interest rate.
