Hi Guys would love some help on this
Right opened a account had 2 Sums of £50 paid into my account
I spent £95 on a item
10 min later had a phone call asked for my partner i asked who it was and they wouldnt tell me as she was on the loo i said she was on the loo ok they said they would contact us again
Checked are paypal and they had limited our account and were holding the £95 payment i had just made, because i needed the item i collected it and paid cash for it as the seller would not release the item without the cleared paypal funds wich i understand
Now for a week i have been trying to get paypal to refund me the £95 back into my paypal account so i can offer refunds to the buyers
After numerous phone calls from me and the seller i still cannot get the money back into my account
Because i have not refunded the buyers for there £50 they are threating me with the police
My problem is why should i refund out of my pocket or send the goods out if i cant get the money from paypal, all i want to do is offer a refund to these poor people but i cant
The way i look at it is i havent recieved the money for the items paypal have and should be accountable for the money not me
Should i let the buyers take it up with the police and paypal?
Thxs
Just to add that paypal have told my seller and my buyers to contact the police as they have not had any contact from me but i have a statement from my phone company with numerous phone calls to paypal on

I am trying to help but I cannot make any sense whatsoever of what you have written

Your first few sentences are not clear. (or maybe it is just me?)Be nice0 -
Sorry but I am confused here, can you clarify.
Where did you get the £95 from, have you sold something (you mention buyers later on?)
If you have received money for goods have you sent them yet, were they tracked, are they showing as delivered?
So, assuming someone has paid and have received no goods do you honestly expect them to sit and wait for you to sort out your problems? Personally I'm with paypal on this one, those buyers should be taking legal steps to get their money back. How would you feel here if you were the buyer?
Also the payment you say is in dispute, have I understood correctly that you paid it across and then also paid the seller in cash and now can't get your £95 back.
Oh dear, I think you are one of those people who maybe should not be using paypal.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. so you sold 2 things for £50? why do the buyers want their money back? have you not sent the items?
if you bought something for £95 and paid the seller £95 by paypal and then £95 cash then the seller needs to refund the £95 paypal payment
or am i missing something?0 -
Ok, I get it now.
You need to phone paypal and speak to them directly. However, I would suggest that you take time to write down the history of what has happened, so that you can clearly and concisely put your view across.
But as above..not sure why you need to refund both buyers?Be nice0 -
we opened a paypal account and 2 people deposited £50 each into our paypal account for items i had for sale in the freeads
Then we paid £95 from our payapl account for a bike which we were going to collect that evening
10 mins later we had a phone call from paypal to confirm that the account holder lived at the phone number on the account but because she was on the loo they couldnt confirm this and said they would call back
Because of this they limited our account and held the £95
But because we needed the bike we paid £95 cash when we collected it
Now i have been trying to get the £95 refunded back into my account and just cant get paypal to do this
I have spent 20 min each day on the phone trying to get them to sort this out with no luck0 -

I rather suspect OP isn't willing to sell the items that she has been paid for after all.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I have ive phoned the every day this week
One min they say a refund has been issued and will take 24 -48 hours to refund then the next thing they say is they need a email from the seller which she has told me has been done offering a refund
Im just going around in circles0 -
You are confusing it again, you need to be clear otherwise paypal won't help. You have 2 seperate issues, keep them seperate.
Firstly you have 2 buyers whose goods have not been shipped, you must either put more money into your paypal account to cover a refund to them or ship the goods immediately, use tracking and enter that into the paypal console. Those buyers have nothing at all to do with the item you bought and should not be out of pocket due to your problems.
The second issue is the one with your seller. Did you ever try and make payment, did it go or was the £95 blocked before you could actually send it?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. No i am willing to send the items but because they have limited my account i cannot get to my money and it could take 6mnths to get the money and i cannot wait that long
The quickest way to resolve this is to offer a refund and get payment by other means0
