My old (not so old actually:mad:   ) Dualit toaster has died.
Do I buy another

OR is there any other make with similar snazzy styling I sould look at?
I would have sworn Dualit were the best in the world, but as mine only lasted about 3.5 years (& some cheapies can go on forever), I'm not adverse to trying another make.
I think Amazon is the cheapest I've found them at £68.00 & free P&P:j
Anywhere cheaper?

Hi MrsE!
Have you considered contacting Dualit to see if they would repair/replace? I think I'd try that in the first place if my Dualit went wrong - and it's a lot older than yours!:p Nothing to lose by asking, and think of the saving if they play nice! Good luck.[0 -
We've got this Breville one here, it's ok, does the job.

BUt I got ours in Argos and it was reduced to £25. I can't see them on the Argos site now, but it's worth having a look at a good half a dozen sites before ordering whichever one you choose to have.
We saved over £100 when we bought our fridgefreezer last year.
The only thing I messed up on was I forgot to use Quidco.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

As its over 2 years old (& I can't find the reciept) they won't replace.
I doubt a repair is worth it as mine is a Dualit cheapie, if it was the £125+ model I would have thought a repair worthwhile.
I will email them.0 -

Thanks, but I'm after a fairly slimline one that won't take up too much space, thats why I like the Dualit lite as they are the slimline range.0 -
talking of toasters, anyone know of a 2 slot model that takes larger slices of bread.? I don;t mean thickness rather Kingsmill style 'toastie' bread. Our toaster has just died and need to replace. It never managed to take a standard size slice sideways so had to put it in right way up which always left an inch or so that never got toasted that we needed to cut off.........0
