A lot of women go back part time to keep their jobs open/skills current and break even after child care costs. I was grief stricken (seriously) when I went back when DS was 11.5 months, but we made the decision based on above factors, amongst others.
We chose nursery as they are less likely to close etc due to holidays, staff sickness. It is not part of a chain, and my 3 godsons also went there. The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0 -
If you've gone on entitled to, it doesnt actually tell you what part of the TC's is for childcare, it just puts the sum up a bit, so double check the actual TC's you're getting against what entitled to said

HiCongratulations the fun is about to start ( Mum of 1 and loving it) Both of us work so we didnt get any grant prior to stork delivering, i know there is a grant of 500 but only applies if you are on benefit you will get the governent voucher £250 after bebe arrives and approximately and i know the benefits were about 150 a month for the first year they will drop after that.we started a nappy fund when i was pregnant believe me you'll be buying them for a long time and it cost a fortune. All the bestSome people dream of success, others wake up and work hard for itTrying to be a better person in 2011 :j0

They may be getting "everything" but I doubt they are living in luxury. Benefits are not for people earning 35k a year I'm afraid. My partner is at uni full time, working 16 hours a week in sainsburys and we do not get any benefits either. The only people who get benefits are people who have nothing0
