Want to start my own Locum Agency

I am a freelance GP, and I have an opportunity to setup my own locum agency , using one of my friend's (another partner GP) salaried staff at reception.
I would like the following information
1. Cheapest way to get pamphlets made online, this would involve creating a logo and then A4 page printouts may be 4 or 5 . If I included freepost enevelopes how much would that cost.
2. If I have a locum doctor (GP) base of 100 and I provide ad hoc locum cover to 150 parctices then what do you think would be:
1A. Estimated postage costs , mailing them A4 registration pack 2 times a year
1B . Estimate phone call costs (I am going to us my local BT number) and the staff will be provided by my friend.
3. How will I go about registering my company - is that via company warehouse.
4. I can get my tax accountant to look at the cost runnings but do you know of a good online accountant
5. I think I will have to take membership of Recruitment Employment Confederation
6. Do you guys know of any website that provides further info on setting up a recruitment agency.

Your starting point for the answers to questions 1 and 2 is the Royal Mail website. They have a special section for businesses and the services they offer.Signature removed for peace of mind0

hi rammster
i am also thinking of the same. i have been doing locums from last 1 year. i have a network of 100 doctors. i am thinking of staring my owm locum agency. i am just wondering how are you getting on with setting locum agency.
where actually do you start the process.
Do you just think a name for the company and get it registered with company house and then contact the trusts to supply doctors. is it that easy .
can you please give some thougts and whats your experience.
i lookedinto nhs pasa web site which gives you information about the standards doctors need to meet to work as a locum etc.
i wait for your reply.

I think you may contact all the practice managers as well as GP to increase your popularity as I think they engaged in bookings in some of the locums in our practice.0
