Hi, I've just been given a Samsung V25 laptop with a problem screen - it keeps turning vivid pink/yellow and occassionally fuzzy. Done some searching and it seems that it would be fixable with a new 'ribbon cable'. Has anyone any experience of this and apart from £40 plus p&p on ebay, does anyone know where I can buy one of these cables?
Thanks in advance,
dee

does the screen do that when u open and shut it. Its not that hard to do but if you have never taken apart a laptop dont bother. It might also be the inverter board .You carnt buy parts from smasung only people in the trade can. So you can only get it from ebay.0

It could just need reseating on the motherboard. Try taking it to bits and reseating all connectors before spending money on a new ribbon cable.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

hi, the screen does this while i'm sat using it - tipping it to the side/up/down and leaning on the hinge all help as if it's a loose cable.
i contacted Samsung yesterday who did quote me for the cable and also the repair, but if it only needs reseating on the motherboard, i may have a go myself.
thanks for your help though guys, it's appreciated!0
