You can get a 60 day free trial of project from microsoft.

I use a Gant chart in Excell, does me for most projects, if you don't mind me asking, what scale is the project you are working on?

i am thinking of setting up a locum agency. This will have about professionals registered and will provide services to about a 150 businesses
