BT phone no to arrange connection

Sorry if I am being really dim here but I am trying to phone BT to arrange a line connection to a house I'm moving into.
My line here is Virgin so not sure how to speak to a BT operator.
I've been on their website and cannot see a phone no anywhere. You wouldn't think they'd make it so difficult for a prospective customer would you?
Does anyone have an 0800 no on any of their bills I wonder.
