  • Oh, and she never sees us enough-Even though we went over there last to see her-at the cost of 4 flights vs her 1. And she is a TEACHER and has how many weeks holiday???????

  • Oh dear.

I love it when I have to pay to get grief.

She was also telling me how to live my life...

    Brief run down
    1. I should insist on going to Dr and getting hormones levels checked-and to stop taking the pill because it's not nice for horses...

    2. I must only eat what foods she has decided are good foods 'this week' as per her naturopath/Oprah/Dr/newest Diet popular in North America

    3. I must disclipine my children EXACTLY opposite of how she disciplined me (ie. calm voice, sent to room, revoke priviledges etc etc-No smacking on behinds with brush for them!)

    4. I should watch St Oprah

    5. followed by Dr Phil the Disciple

God, she utterly WINDS ME UP (bearing in mind, this conversation was also intermingled with references to my little sister 'Amy-can-do-no-wrong')

I have one of those too.

    that really WINDS ME UP
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • And guess what I feel like doing now??????

    EATING! I am so CROSS!

  • Do you want to know the reason she doesn't come visit us?

Because she is broke. Even though she has already declared bankruptcy once, she has racked up all her debt again. At the age of 58, close to retirement and 15 years still on her mortgage. Clever. And we wonder why I was such a bonehead when it came to money for a supposedly clever person?

oooo Bunny, if she's that skint is there a chance she'll sell up and move over to live with you in her retirement?  only joking.

My mum has been driving me mad recently but the main problem is that she's changing history in her head and relates tales to DS that just aren't true. Not sure if she's just twisted or if she's going doolally! She's usually great but it's very strange.
