It did cross my mind how long it would be before that remark arrived. Easy to be cynical, but be careful what you wish for.0 -

Erm, would they be the experts that said that Britain is well placed to ride a recession, when in fact we are worst placed?
I don't know which experts you are referring to, unless you mean the ones that 'commit suicide' in wooded areas? Those are the experts we should probably be listening to, as the self-labelled ones clearly have not got a clue.
If GB or any other business or government expert had come out 1 and a half years ago and said "well, we suspect there may be problems with the economy so we need to act now" I would probably agree with you. Truth is, they were still claiming everything was okay while the sh*t was hitting the fan right in front of them.I'll have some cheese please, bob.0 -
You probably only need to go back 100 years and I bet 99% of the world wouldn't have known if they were in a recession, depression or boom time.
It's only since the increase of media and communication that people have been able to tell each other that we are in the $hi7. Before that who'd have known?
I am a Mortgage Consultant and don't like to be told what I can and can't put in a signature so long as it's legal and truthful.0
