Does a current account show on Credit Report?

Options
Does a current account show on your credit report, if you have no overdraft?

My Lloyds TSB Under 19's account doesn't appear on my credit report, though the search does when I opened it (When I was 17).

I've opened a HSBC Plus account about a month ago. Once again, the credit search shows for when I opened it, but nothing in 'Active Credit Accounts'.

Might take more than a month for HSBC to start actively reporting. My Halifax account took about 6 weeks to show up

I have viewed my credit report with Experian yesterday, however my free 30 day trial ended today and I don't want to continue paying £7 a month to view it, so I'll just hope it's there when I look in 6 months (spending the next 6 months getting my credit rating improved). :)

Only current accounts with an overdraft facility wiill show on a credit report. Standard currents accounts without any credit facility should not be shown. Credit reports show credit facilities only, not standard accounts.

An account opened pre 2001 will probably not show on credit reports due to a change in recording procedure taking place.

I have three basic accounts minus any overdraft and they show on my files.
Must be a new thingy.

That's the first time I've heard of it ! Have those basic accounts at any time had an O/D facility or do they usually come with an O/D, but not in your case ?
I have numerous (7) current accounts, only 1 of 3 which have overdraft facilities show on any of the 3 CRA's.
CRA's have started to record additional info recently such as credit card monthly payments etc so it could be new ??

I'm due another free report next month so I'll see if it mentions any changes to standard bank accounts.

Nationwide, Halifax, Barclays, LTSB, and A&L all report(ed) my full feature current accounts, despite them not having an overdraft facility.

In fact, I have only one (out of nine currently) that doesn't report, and that's my 29 year-old Yorkshire Bank account...and that one has a £5K O/D facility on it.

    My seven accounts include Barclays (3 years), Lloyds (O/D - 22years), A&L (O/D - 1 year), Halifax (1 year), Cahoot (5-6 years), Smile (O/D - 5 years), First Direct (1 year).

The only one to show with any CRA is Smile.
