I get you ikkle...E.M. should not be offended as she contributes lots and sure S.S. was not pointing a finger at her, although I can see why E.M. got defensive as I know I would as it is always hard not to take things personally in this virtual world.
However...
I get frustrated and inwardly grown when you get the usual questions and can see that the answer is on the first post and or the answer can be found by using the search thread function.
But...
When the answer can not be found on the first post or easily found using the search thread function, I do not get frustrated.
There is laziness, but then there are people who work long hrs and have little time to read 50 pages of waffle when they have 20 uniforms to iron, lunch boxes to prepare, kids to bathe etc. Or maybe they want to sit and talk to hubby instead of posting waffle on the non waffle thread etc.
We should not jump on people either way, but should be friendly when the answer is not easily found etc.
Yes we should all say please and thank you...but firstly people tend to shortern posts for quickness on the web, secondly it is surely enough for the person to use the thanks button for a thank you, save clogging the thread?
Above all...it REALLY DOES NOT MATTER! It would be much better to suggest nicely they look on the first post, in a humourous 'oh no, not again!' way and not to do it in a whiny way.
MSE says...Pls be nice to all MoneySavers. There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps...That includes all dumb ones, silly ones, lazy ones, busy ones etc :rotfl: :rotfl:
did look on first post ..............................but maybe a bit sensitive ............been poorly , stress at work ,OH flying back from Australia. He goes away alot but I still worry every flight.
There is often a list posted here (usually just as I have spent an hour writing mine from .com) .Was a genuine request to point me in the direction of something I thought I had missed not a request for someone else to do the work IYSWIM!0 -
hiya
someone asked before about the £4 olay pc voucher combining with winkie , it Doesnt work , i tried it today
went bootsing after like a century and was a horrible day:(
i had 5 shops planned and written down , only did 2 thought id pay for 2 get winkies and browse arround ,but when i went to pay , there was a nice guy on the till but next to him was a !!!!! , as i payed an was leaving she said to him , oh be warned about her she uses alot of vouchers , she always has them :@
i walked away ignoring her . nearly turned back n would have thrown my shopping on the till n told her to f off but thought ive spent £25 odd cash and a blinky and winky which i buyed on ebay , But im never going back there again ,how Rude , they think they own the store treating customers like crap and talking about them right infront of them .
I had a very similar thing happen to me Sarah.
As I walked away from the counter the SA approached one of her colleagues to moan about me returning 2 .com items, & also using blinkies. I calmly turned around and said .... "excuse me, but if you have a problem with me using vouchers that are issued by Boots as a customer incentive, and also with me returning items from .com in conjunction with their online returns policy, then perhaps you need to ask your Manager to provide you with a refresher training course, as you have clearly not been brought up to date with your Companys' Policies. Oh, and it might also be an idea to keep your gossip to the staff room, and not to talk about customers on the shop floor, where both they and other customers may overhear, as I have. I don't think CS would view this as very customer friendly or professional, do you?" With that I walked away, leaving a very red-faced and embarrassed SA who is now very polite to me.
There is no excuse for bad manners in any walk in life, and at the end of the day the SA's that have this attitude problem need to realise that without our custom they could very well be joining the growing unemployment queue. It is also a shame, as the vast majority of SA's are lovely.0 -

Being male, I have no need for the GWP nor any of the products that would need to be purchased to get the GWP, but I half want one just to see what shade lipstick I'd get and whether I'd get a voucher! :rotfl:
Quick question to anyone who's been to Tamworth/Nuneaton/Coventry today, has anyone seen any of the Gillette putting sets? Thanks.

Have you tried Customer service? They will check stock in your area, for even the smallest item. If you have the item number/product code, even better.~ What goes around comes around ~0 -
Good morning! Sorry I got a bit ratty last night, I'm all worn out by Friday! And stressed that all my local Boots have HE at full price still!!
When your buying HE, does it have a special clearance sticker on, or is is the main barcode which is scanning at the 44p prices?
I really want some!!! Many thanks, and I will be forever in your debt and at your mercy for an answer (Is that a bit OTT??!)
[walks backwards bowing out of the room]I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!:mad:0 -
Hi my GWP had No 15 Golden Rose and no points voucher sorry have not kept the plastic sleeve with barcode on.
My hubbie came home with 12 bottles of HE shampoo and 12 bottles of conditioner so lots and lots of points for me. what a :A.
I now have about £35.00 on my card I have had my AC card for about 5 years and have never had more than a couple of pounds on. I am so grateful for all your tips and glitches may there be loads more and maybe 1 day I can give you some tips when I get lots better at this bootsing lark.0 -
Has anyone tried the new P&P foundation? I got some yesterday as I was tempted by the GWP and I must say I am disappointed with it. It seems to sort of peel off into little tiny pieces. I thought it was my moisturiser so tried it again without but its still the same. Is it just me or has anyone else had this problem. I'm tempted to take it back but I don't know where I would stand with getting a refund.
BTW Stockton on Tees have Charles Worthington serums, sprays etc reduced on SEL for around 98p to £1.10-works with £2 hair blinkies/wrinklies/whatever! Got two choppy hair pastes for total of 20p yesterday.0 -
