Insurance for New Drivers

Hi All
I recently passed my test and now have my own car but i'm finding it difficult to find an insurance company that i can afford. I've used a couple of compare sites and the cheapest i've found so far is just over £2000.
Does anyone know any companies that are atleast a little cheaper than this for new drivers?
I hate to think that now i have passed my test, got a car etc I'm still going to be unable to drive
