In Firefox you can change the options and at least change the background colour. So it's not such a contrast.

Tools > Options > Content > Colours and remove the tick box for allowing sites to choose their own colours! Not brilliant, but at least I can now read it with an eye strain.

Bring back borders, lines and dividers. Also ditch the horrible wishy washy green.

Reminds me of hospital colours and an attempt to be relaxing.Needs the boxes and borders for separation.
