inflight meals help?

We have booked a flight with easyjet flying from Liverpool to Paris on a 7.35am flight, ive looked on the site and cant find much info on if you would get a meal while on the flight, does anyone know? if theres not can you take any food on the flight? only ask as ive a 3 year old and normally the only way to get her to sit still for a while is while eating..lol
one more question, are you allowed to take a tin of baby powder milk on the flight in your case? now i know that sounds a straight forward this but just wanted to know we are not going to get held up for trying to take 600g of white powder through customs...

Easyjet have never offered meals since the first flight, they do try and sell you sandwiches and coffee, which actaually tastes like coffee but you can certainly bring your own food. As regards baby formula in your checked in bags, that should be fine.

  • As the flight is only 1.5 hours at the most surely a meal is not such an important factor. If you feel you need to keep your 3 year old entertained with food I'm sure you could buy enough of her favourite things at the airport. Perhaps a couple of reading books and a good sticker book would keep her amused for such a relatively short time.

  • They will bring snacks round most likely. Crisps, choccie etc. Mine are the same. (and then the rest of the holiday too)
  • Easyjet do have their own catering trolley, hot and cold drinks, snacks and crisps, olives, biscuits, and so on. Easy jet will up their prices as it is a convienience they are providing, and people will pay it. In my opinion, I would buy something at the airport, some crisps, a sandwitch, and some fruit or something.

    Enjoy the flight!
    Happy New Year!

Just don't rely on them having much - when we flew with them to Split at breakfast time they had run out of most things by the time they were half way down the aircraft. We had taken out own, and that's probably a better option.
  • There is a Spar in Liverpool airport and a few other places if you need to buy food at the airport, it will be cheaper and have more choice than on the plane.

I don't see why there should be a problem with availability first thing in the morning - they've had all night to load the plane; besides they've got to load enough in Liverpool to make the return breakfast trip, which is the busiest time of day in catering terms.

I would second the advice above though - it's much better to take your own food and drink as the stuff they sell really isn't worth it, and they're perfectly happy for you to take it on board. The baby food won't be a problem, though if any of it is in liquid form you'll have to eat a bit yourself at the security checkpoint in Liverpool. If it's white powder make sure it's in the original packaging - otherwise I can see why it would raise suspicions!

I have flown twice with baby formula both times the tub was open and I haven't been stopped by customs
