£10 spends purse

To stop the temptation on spending this year, Ive got an old purse and put £10 in it on a Saturday, Ive Put my debt card away so there no temptation to use it,
Whats left at the end of the week i put in a money box to save so far theres £8.56 in there,
Ive stopped buying the kids snacks on the way home from school, they get fruit when the go back home, Ive stopped buying gossip mags and the TV mag.
Ok still have to get milk and bread when we run out

Any one else stopped temptation

Interesting approach. I try to limit the amount of cash I carry around as it always end up getting squandered with nothing to show for it!

I don't take my purse to work as I know I'd just end up spending more than I earn on 'stuff' :rolleyes::o

I put enough money for my bus fare in my bag and off I go.
