Hi, just had a baby about 2 months ago and would like to find out what is the best way to invest some money for him in the future, still got the 250 pounds from HMR and dont know what to do with it. What is the best bank to open a savings account or should I get premium bonds or a child trust fund (which one) there is so much information out there. Would really appreciate some help?

Im confused, is the money you have the 250 quid specifically for investment in a child trust fund? If so you can only put it in a child trust fund - not a normal bank account. There are a few different options with child trust funds, normally they send you a pile of info with the voucher....0

Hey,
As far as i know, the voucher must be lodged in a ctf. Google it for lots of providers. I had a baby boy 7 months ago and decided to lodge it with F&C Investments. Havent added to it though due to the current state of stocks and shares. Decided to invest £100 a mth in the Halifax Regular Saver which was 10% but i believe is now 8% which is still a good return.0
