  • You will need to start a new claim. Your single claim will be ended and you will have to start a joint claim.
You will need to know his current incoem and incoem for last year (has he got P60s?). You probably won't need his last address. You will need his National Insurance number, date of birth and employers details (how many hours her works, pay roll number if possible and head office address).
He isn't on another claim is he?

  • No he is not on another claim, do I have to give this information over the phone or do they send a new form out for us to complete
  • I'm pretty sure they will need to send you claim form to complete. If you want to get a rough idea of whehter you will still qualify with your partner's income included in the claim you could look on the HMRC website. The website still has old information on it about claiming online - this service is not available because of problems with fraud.
