The dream matte mousse stuff is nice but don't go for it if your skin is quite dry - it looks fine on me, but my mate used it when she stopped over a few weeks ago and it made her (slightly dry) skin look all flakey and horrible. Good range of shades though.

I have always used Maybelline (and missed it when they stopped selling it in the UK but now its back). Any of their foundations are good - I also have red hair and have found their nude foundations work best on my skin.0

I found Clinique perfectly real foundation works best on me. However, the lightest shade isnt sold in the UK so I get it on ebay.0

I used to be quite plale and used the Barbara Daly (Tesco) range and I thought it was great not to mention cheap. There are two versions depending on your skin type (basically one contains oil and the other not).
These days I just use a little fake tan and moisturiser at night and I never need foundation - the fake tan means that my skin tone is consistent and I love the healthy glow.

i also have pale skin and red hair and i use a tinted moisuriser from avon at £5 a go but it is often on offer at £2.50. it also has spf of 15. I think it is called matifying (?) cover and it is on the page where they sell the face wipes and spot creams. i find that it is very good. hth0

I was "caught" in Debenhams the other day by the Estee Lauder sales lady asking if I'd like a free two week sample of their foundation. She matched my skin tone using a kind of colour wheel showing their foundation shades and then applied some to my face to check it matched. She gave me a generous sample pot to try and, I have to say, I love it. The product I got was Double Wear but this would be too heavy for you, I think. They do a Double Wear Light which isn't quite so full coverage. These are £22.50 for 30ml though but you could get free samples from a few different counters to trial.0

Double Wear foundation is really good, you can apply it in thin layers for the coverage you like ... for good skin or bad skin days.
However, it really clings to dry skin and makes it look flaky and worse. A moisturising one might be better.Save £4000 for tuition fees by Sept '09:rolleyes:Lose 2 stones by May:eek: -21lbs Get married for less than £5000 in May:smileyhea
