i have quite pale skin and red hair so my skin doesn't match the usual pinky toned foundation and at 27 am still trying to find one to suit!I have normal/dry skin and don't really want anything too heavy. I also need something that won't break the bank or is good value for money (ie lasts a long time).Just wondered if there any other pale skinned lovelies out there on a budget with any recommendations.

Maybelline have extended their foundation shades lately into the paler end, especially in the Dream Matte mousse range. Enabled me to finally find a match. I'm not really a high maintenance, wear make up all the time girl, but my friend made me get some of the dream matte mousse and it's a pretty good match for my wan, insipid complexionMy TV is broken!

That Maybelline dream matte mousse foundation is supposedly the uk's no. 1 best selling foundation, has or is on special currently in boots / superdrug & does do about 3 very pale shades, as I myself need pale ones & have been thinking about giving it a try since it's so cheap! Would prob be quite quick and easy to apply using either fingers or a foundation brush too by the looks of it.
My all time favourite however is the clinique superbalanced foundation, as it's oil free, lightweight (but buildable coverage) & just makes my skin look lovely & natural (& photographs well!). I use shade 03 ivory but there are even paler shades than that. Would seem expensive in comparison to say maybelline, but it's a great product, lasts for ages & is well worth it for the above reasons.0 -
laura mercier, mac and bare escentuals all do a very pale foundation. think the be is the best as its about £17 for a pot that lasts me 4/5 months and i use it every day. im pale to the point where i can trace my veins round by body and all the above almost match my skin tone. perscriptives can made a foundation to match but im not sure on the cost.Debt free 3 years early :j

I quite like No 7's intelligent colour foundation, the lightest colour. It's a kind of mousse so quite light to put on as well. And not as expensive as some others...0

I have really pale, dry skin and I love Chanel foundation. I use the ... hmm illumiere? one i think it is called. In a round glass pot. It's about £20 but it lasts for ages. I've had mine about 6 months and its nowhere near finished. It's really light but covers really well, you don't even see my freckles when I use it.Save £4000 for tuition fees by Sept '09:rolleyes:Lose 2 stones by May:eek: -21lbs Get married for less than £5000 in May:smileyhea

Thought I'd mention that today I found in a draw a new tube of Aldi's Lacura liquid foundation that I bought the other week for something stupid like £1.30 !!
I got the translucent shade - which I think is the palest - & it is just that (almost too much so for me). Doesn't have any built in SPF, but for the price thought I'd try it anyway - & I'm happy to report back that it looks good & has worn well all day long. I found the texture a little on the dry side when applying, but then I have oily skin - so not a problem for me - but on dryer skin types - could be a issue.
Will be wearing this to work from now on as the squeeze tube application makes it quick n easy to apply
*Note: DON'T buy their lip glosses when in store - they're horrible!!*0
