Problems changing details on an old Virgin Freespace page

The charity I work for has its own website. A long time ago (before anyone currently involved was involved) someone set up a page on freespace.virgin.net for them. This page still seems to be active but all the information is out of date, including postal address and email and of course there is no link to the current website. I tried calling Virgin but they were extremely unhelpful.
Any ideas how we can have this page pulled or at least updated to give our current details?

Are you still with Virgin?
If not, your Login details are probably cancaled / suspended.
If you know the origional username (usually in the old http://www.virgin.net/~<username>) then just go to the Virgin website and register the name under 'Pay-as-you-go'
I've done it a few times with my old virgin account (Was one of the first on the origional virgin and got a GREAT username and want to keep it for a local call every few months!)
You then just need to call the pay-as-you-go number and use the FTP details to upload new info / pages to the site.Laters

Must have been at least 7 years since we were with Virgin.
Looked at the Virgin Media site and it looks as though you have to have a Virgin phone account to use PAYG internet.0 -
As for "Pay as you go" you don't need a Virgin number, any BT number will (or should!! ) do.Laters

Hmmm... do you have a link for this? When I looked, the only option for PAYG was dial up and they say you have to have a Virgin phone account to use that service.0

Drat. Just seen that bit about "Need a virgin Phone line" Hopefully that's for new accounts. Try this:
Go to "Customer Zone" http://www.virginmedia.com/customers/
Then select "My Internet Account "
Click on "@Virgin.net" then "Send"
Then go to "My Connection"
That lists all the connection info including PAYG Number. (Make a note of these)
Then on the left hand menu you'll see an entry marked in Yellow, select the link below that "Account Summary".
Enter the 'Username' and 'password' in there. It will tell you you either "User is not found" or "User is suspended"
Hopefully it should find the username and ask if you want to enable it. Just select "yes" and let it do it's thing. it should then install the "*.ins" connection settings. Then off you go!
Failing all the above....
Find someone that's on Virgin and see if they can access it!Laters

Thanks Solitaire
Unfoetunately don't have password and when I tried to go down the forgotten password route, it required a birth date. Not a clue what would have been used!0
