I hope it worked, it didn't for me once. Noticed the dough hook after putting in the ingredients, tried to push the hook in and ended up with a horrible wet mess which didn't look anything like dough after mixing so wasted it and started again.0

Yeah! It was fine and very tasty!

(I am always doing things like this - looks like I'm in good company!)
Thanks for all your advice!

I once put all the ingredients in and with a knowing grin looked around to see the BM bowl on the drainer - EEEEKKK!!!! What a mess.

LOL, I've done this too and the worst things was I was teaching DD1's boyfriend how to make bread at the time
Tipped the mixture out, shoved the paddle in and put the mixture back in. Ended up with a really lovely loaf
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

I've forgotten the number of times I've forgotten to put the paddle in! Sometimes I haven't realised until the I've come to get the finished loaf out only to find a horrible lump! So disappointing when you're expecting a lovely fresh loaf for lunch

On Sunday I put some dough on to make rolls...when i got the dough out to knead i thought it felt a bit flat...then remembered I hadn't put any yeast in! But my DH (always the optimist) suggested I flatten them out and bake them anyway - they turned out to be pitta breads! so glad i didn't bin the dough!
not much help but good to know there are other absent minded bread machine operators out there!weaving through the chaos...0 -
