Thank you Queenie! Do you think if I empty it into a bowl, wash the bucket thing and replace dough hook I can then put all the ingredients back in and it will work? Am a bit worried because it says the yeast should go in first but if I mess about with it all the yeast will be mixed in and may have touched the water - do you see what I mean? this is only my fourth loaf so am a complete novice as well as being scatty!

I would try tipping everything out, putting paddle thing back in and then the mixture. Cook it on a quick cook loaf program. Nothing to lose if it comes out horrible!0

Bargainaddict - it is a 70% wholemeal loaf so don't think I can do that i.e. quick programme

Thanks for the suggestion - am feeling very stupid!

Just shove the paddle in through the mixture and on to the spindle - I've done it once - ok I ended up with clarty fingers - but I also ended up with a loaf too (I was a scatty breadmaker virgin 5 weeks ago lol)There are 10 types of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don't
In many cases it helps if you say where you are - someone with local knowledge might be able to give local specifics rather than general advice0 -
I've tipped it all out and slung it back in now and put it back on the timer. I never thought to just shove the dough hook back - d'oh! (no pun intended
)
I'm sure it will all be fine. That is my mantra :cool:
I was watching Lewis and speaking on the phone and breadmaking at the same time - that'll teach me!
Thank you everyone

Chuck the mix out into a bowl, put the thingie back chuck it all back and start baking now, it will survive honest!
I once put all the ingredients in and with a knowing grin looked around to see the BM bowl on the drainer - EEEEKKK!!!! What a mess.The quicker you fall behind, the longer you have to catch up...0 -
come on then... did it work or not - the suspense is killing me...0
