Because they can! And because they want to make as much interest out of you as possible. </cynical>
You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.
  • I always go into my bank to pay my Virgin CC when it is due, I've never set it up a direct debit and don't pay online either. So far its always gone through in plenty of time and not been charged interest/penalties. Still got my 0% deal til April next year. I purely got this card to take advantage of the 0% balance transfer and am managing to pay more off than I originally planned so will be rid of the card sooner.

My other card seems to have a delay when I pay, I tried to buy something online and was refused. Called my card company and they had no record of me paying off some of my account 5 days earlier in the store! Double-checking the statement when it arrives to see I haven't been charged interest.

I don't buy anything on my Virgin CC , just using it to pay off the balance I transferred- destroyed the pin as soon as I got it so I didn't use it.
