in Credit cards
I applied for a HSBC credit card on December 13th. With 0% for 9 months on purchases it seemed like a good idea at the time.
Christmas and New Year came and went. And in the first week of January I received information asking me to send my recent payslip and utility bill, all sent the very same day. These were subsquently returned to me on January 9th and since then I've heard absolutely nothing.
So I called HSBC, and after 35 minutes of holding got through to someone who didn't really grasp what it was I was saying and put the fact that I haven't received my credit card down to the fact they've got a backlog and it will be another 10-12 working days. Thus taking it up to two months (give or take a few days) from when I initally applied for the damn thing.
Anyone else still waiting, or had to wait this long? Or am I just unlucky? I'm starting to think I should have gone else where.

And the call ctr can't really help as your new business until your accepted and prob don't show up on any of there systems easily!!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 092

Weird
I applied on 3rd Jan and I was accepted, did all the paperwork and did the balance transfer to Mint today
I have the card, but no pin but given it is only for stoozing, no hurry there0 -
You'll get the pin soon... I just put mine in the shredder to resist tempation! I was concerned that you don't have to activate the card though!!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 092
