I enquire to see if there are huge differences?
Car insurance is to some extent organised this way, (they don't check over your vehicle, or ask if you service it) and so premiums vary enormously. I guess life insurance would be the same?

Yes there is. On clean health, life assurance will be far cheaper than life insurance.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Whichever website that said that didnt know what they were on about.
Life insurance plans are not medically underwritten and have clauses that mean they may not pay out. Life assurance is underwritten at point of sale and will pay out on death. Life insurance should be a last resort and really only suited for those that cannot get life assurance.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
