  • We spend £70-£90 a month for 2 adults and 2 rabbits, including all toiletries and cleaning things. I guess it just depends on your budget!
  • OP, I think the other thing is that if you're currently spending a huge amount and want to reduce it (like me!), it's better to try to reduce in reasonably sized chunks.

If you spend, say £400/month now and suddenly cut it in 1/2 straight away, you'd probably struggle, get fed up and fall off the wagon! Much better (IMHO) to knock, say £30/month off and do it in stages. HTH

  • We spend between £60 and £75 per week for 3 of us. The lower spending weeks tend to include more vegeterian days (which aren't popular with Mr De Bris!)
  • Not counting the pennies, but for food and a bottle of table wine per diem I reckon no more than £10-12, or £300-ish per month.

  • We spend about £80-90 a week for 2 adults & 2 young children including packed lunches for the DC and toiletries/cleaning products. I don't usually include family eating out (i.e. not 'date night' eating out) in that budget but I will this month.

Come out of your corner, Alex! Before I started MoneySaving (and when I fall off the wagon) I can spend £100/week on me and two cats. I've got it down to about £50/week and am starting to think about going lower ...
