We average £55-60 a week for 2 of us and 2 dogs, and a lot of booze:D:D"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Two teenagers, two adults - including dinner money it works out approx £30 per person for food and soft drinks.

Fingers crossed x0 -
I spend £85 per week, for 4 of us, so I guess £21.25 per person which also includes cleaning stuff, washing powder etc also all bathroom items, shampoo, deodorant etc.0

At the moment I'm spending about £90 a week for 6 of us for all food, packed lunches, toiletries and cleaning materials, so that's £15 per person. Wow, it sounds great when I break it down like that, just over £2 per person per day! We eat well, plenty of fresh food and the boys get tons of fruit and veg.
Thanks OP, this thread has reaffirmed everything I love about trying to be OS!Feeding 2 adults and 5 piglets aged 7 months, 7, 8, 10 & 13. Thank heaven for Aldi!:rotfl:

Between £40 and £54 for two of us, that includes all cleaning and personal hygiene needs and all food including packed lunch of fruit salad each day, and a copious supply of real coffee ( I won't drink instant) and coke (husband does not drink coffee or tea)0

I do one "Big shop" a month and have to pay quite a hefty delivery fee as we are a forces family and I get a UK shop "brought over" it still works out cheaper then shopping here alone lol! I then get a few bits a week, recently I have been slacking and picking up to much in those weekly runs and I want to get back on track. At the moment I would say for 4 people, 2 adults and 2 teens, I am spending close on £30 per person a week...I want to bring that down considering hubby is hardly here anyway lol!0

I live alone and normally budget for £120.00 per month. This month as I am being Madame Frugalista to the extreme I have only spent just over £65 and have shopped more from my freezer and store cupboard but I suppose normally around £25+ depending on what I buy.I have cut things back to the bare necessities to save towards my summer holiday and stayed out out the shops for most of the month0

Well done everyone...I'm going to try and just buy fruit & veg (I'm growing bits in my border as well) and milk & cheese. Then run down my freezer ready for defrosting and use up some of my store stuff. so there'll be some wierd and wonderful recipes this next month.:rotfl:GC - Oct £36.17/£31
