Last week was £32. That was made up of £24 in Aldi's, £6 in Home Bargains (cheaper for certain things) and £2 in Morrisons. Hoping I can have a cheaper week this week and use a lot from my freezer. Only one wage at the moment so every penny is a prisoner!CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0

My usual budget is around £75 a week which includes food/cleaning/wet cat food & drinks for 2 adults, 2 children under 10 and every other weekend a 15 year old. I will shop mainly at Tesco but Sainsbury's or Asda if I have vouchers or I just fancy a change. I buy bread/milk and salad stuff as and when so it's always fresh (not included in budget)
This week was a big cupboard and freezer fill up after being emptied over Christmas and I spent £140 and I won't need to go shopping again for two weeks (other than basics).
The only times I deviate from my budget is promotional bulk buying or buying in larger quantities such as cheese where it is cheaper to buy a large block at counter and will last a month or so. I usually go to our local greengrocer/market for fruit and veg before I go to the supermarket as often I can buy a glut of stuff significantly cheaper.£10 a day challenge Jan: £163.31 / Feb: 151.61 / March: £163.43 / April: £142.84 / May £342.21 / June: £182.32 / £203.09

I'm always really interested in other people's grocery budgets :-)
We're three adults, and spend £400 a month. I occasionally shop in the city, usually Asda or Morrisons, but mostly locally in our small co-op and butchers/greengrocers etc the rest of the month.0 -
Today I spent £28 in Asda minus £2.80 in vouchers from previous Asda receipts ( price match scheme I think) & £8 in Iceland, not a lot but I do have plenty in the freezer for this weeks meals, this shop was mostly fresh fruit & veg, ham, milk, chocolate biscuits & crisps for pack ups. I feed 2 adults, a 14 yr old boy and a dog.***Dont save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving***0

As this thread has dropped down the board I've added it to our existing one on grocery spending to keep the replies together.

This week I have spent £55 which is broken down into...
£10
£8 on fruit (blueberries, bananas, clementines) and veg
£5 in snacks - yoghurts, rice cakes, raisins, dried mango, dried strawberries, cereal bars, cookies, smoothie
£10 on fresh food - bread, cheese, 6 pints milk, ham, sausage rolls
£13 on baby items - wipes and food
£9 on jumbo box of washing powder, fabric conditioner and moutwash
Cans of coke half price for a treat
Fresh meat for meals - mince, sausages, bacon
Store cupboard things - chopped tomatoes, tinned veggies, pasta, emergency sauce jars, emergency frozen pizza, cereal, frozen potato waffles
edit - I had £12 off voucher then delivery to pay hence it doesn't add up!
This is for 2 adults (me and my mother who gives me some of the shopping money back), DD (2) and DS (6months), We could do it much cheaper - i.e. no baby wipes or jars but I like the convenience of them, could also cut out things like cereal bars etc. and replace with crackers etc. It normally comes to less than £60 per week for us all which includes toiletries, cleaning, cat, food and snacks. We have a simple home cooked meal every night (i.e. lasagne, shepherds pie, soup, casserole, roast, sauces etc.) but I also have a bit of a food hoarding obsession and keep my freezer and cupboards stacked full for "emergencies". Lunches are usually sandwiches, toasties, HM soup, salad, baked potato etc. with fruit and yoghurt And breakfast is toast, cereal or weetibix with fruit. So nothing fancy but we avoid most processed food and get our 5 a day. If I was really careful and meal planned and did absolutely everything from scratch I could half the price we pay just now. I will do it when the children get older but for now being on my own with 2 under 2 and back to work soon is enough work!Debt December 2012 - Approx £4070...
February 2013 £2784.640 -

As to whether there any good there's only one way to find out, have a look at their website and see if they've got enough to make up an order to make it worthwhile - their postage is, I think, £5.50.

I've looked at Approved Food but never found anything worth the delivery. I have had a look at the Clare Barry site listed further up the post for meat and the prices look really good if you can do an order and have enough freezer space for it - may be trying that site out very soon.0
