Fire Suite - Smaller than 48" ??????

Options
Hi ppl

We've currently got a nice circa 70's council (ish) gas fire and fireplace in our front room which we'd like to get rid of and replace with something nicer to say the least.

However we seem to have a problem in getting something to fit as our chimney breast is approx 118cm wide and most of the mantel/hearths seem to be at least 120cm +.

The current fireplace measurements we have are:-

Shelf width = 120cm
Mantel Height = 82cm
Hearth width = 118cm
Hearth depth = 33cm

Ideally we would like something to leave a small gap on either side and have the hearth depth no bigger than 33cm as we don't want to lose any floor space.

Can anyone point us in the right direction as to where we may possibly get something that will fit or some suggestions.

Thanks

WJUK

Have a look at http://www.blazes.co.uk/ to find your nearest showroom and go and have a look. They still have their New Years Half Price Sale on. We've just bought one.

You might just struggle a bit for less than 48" though although I think I remember seeing a few at around 42". Good luck.
