Hi Guys,
Still looking for unusal ideas for my wedding to make it a bit different.
Love this idea..it is a candy (american!) buffet.....like pick and mix but without the horror of having to pay for the weight of fudge!

What do we think? Tacky or nice?? I would try and do it in the colours of my wedding if possible...currently pink and chocolate...

i think it looks great and there are a lot of sweets that are pink and of course chocolates, you could always get retro sweets so all the adults can enjoy the sweets from when they were younger!

If you are thinking of going down this path Aldi are selling off their christmas sweets and have big fancy glass jars of sweets for 2 or 3 quid.0

Our pic n mix was a great hit... especially with the adults. We went "retro" and had shrimps, white mice etc.
Ebay have sweets although we didn't get from there. We shopped around and got our sweets from various places. If you have a proper old style sweetie shop nearby they might be able to supply you with large amount of sweets
There's one near to me and the old ladies in there are lovely. I till go in sometimes and get 20p's worth of sweeties:o :rotfl:
We did get little white bags and little tongs from ebay. I do have lots of bags and tongs left if anyone is interesed???;)
The picture does look a lot posher than how we had our sweets.... we had proper plastic square sweetie tubs:o

Its a great idea, it will be a real talking point and something different.
Are there many children going though as you might have a lot of wired darlings on your hands if there allowed free rein with that lot
